TPPP GAME and reflection

During my IB Theatre classes at the moment we are trying to prepare for the PPP and the TPPP by bringing in all the work they have done and all the productions they have experienced. To encourage as much talk and students making as many connections as possible I created a practical game that helps students reflection and make connections between aspects of practical work and theory.

The stimulus I used to start reflection was watching DV8′s ‘The Cost of Living’ and then starting conversations about aspects of that they have taken away.

Directing taster

In my IB class this week we looked at ways to approach directing. The class was quite new to communicating a vision, so I combined the work with ways to pictorially present their work. The focus was on how to accurately communicate an idea, so that your actors can create your vision on stage. Anthropology of this Century – Open Source

A new, open-source anthropology journal is beginning to pick up serious attention – and with good reason. Open-source (free!) materials have always been a passion of many web 2.0 fanatics. As publishing becomes increasingly digital, it is colliding with the open source movement. The results are some great resources for us.

“Dates”

mum's birthday

I’m working in my moleskin notebook and I’m planning and reflecting on some dates in this month of February.

Not ‘dates’ in the romantic sense but specific days that are important to me and when I have to get things done. However, I do note that several dates this month are indeed significantly connected to love.
