Given the nature of the I.B. program, many of our students in Film Studies don’t really have their eye on a professional career. Nevertheless, in an industry where film production is often called “going to war,” and where the Producer has to organize innumerable business and logistical details, while the Director must draw out the best form a creative staff that numbers in the hundreds, the more the student understands the way a professional film company works and is organized, the easier it is for the student to understand the peculiar hybrid of art and business that is Film.
