Alcohol / Ethanol

What’s in a name?

Asprin – we are all familiar with this drug but it’s chemical name has an interesting history.

It used to be called acetylsalicylic acid.

Kitchen Chemistry

Can anyone explain the Chemistry behind this?

Coins placed in vinegar can be ‘cleaned’ but the process takes a relatively long time (you need to leave the coins overnight) but
