In an earlier post a radical new procedure called a feces transplant was featured – colloquially referred to as a ‘transpoosion’ – which was designed to replace and restart “normal” human gut microflora ravaged by antibiotic treatments.
Now a study has been released which takes the notion of the human microbiome one further. Researchers have been able to classify the kinds of bugs that live inside the human gut into just three distinct types – a so-called enterotype.
