Hi Andrew

I got an IPad for Christmas and downloaded several Art Apps straight away.

I particularly like Inspire Pro, Sketchbook Pro, Brushes and ArtRage. 123D Sculpt is quite interesting too.

Star Wars: Millenium Falcon Gunner is pretty darned good as well - and it looks like you are involved in a fairly elaborate performance art piece to passers by when you are playing it....

cheers

Jonathan,

Thank you for your note and kind words. I think it is fantastic that you have produced such great resources yet do not charge for them.

Thankyou!

I wonder if the 'big' publishers don't wonder if their time is up? I'm thinking that we'll see the emergence of more and more people publishing their own materials on the web and missing out the 'publisher' altogether. There's an interesting article in the Guardian (UK 'serious' newspaper) that claims we're on the start of an e-publishing bubble. Read it at http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2012/jan/30/self-e-publishing-bubble-ewan-morrison

Dear David
I am glad that you like my work. Despite several pleas from commercial enterprises asking me to charge for my resources I insist on all my work being free to use provided it is disseminated unchanged. It is my way of giving something back now that I have retired from teaching. What I don't like is plagiarism such as occured when a college lecturer changed my powerpoints very slightly, put her name on it and then put it on a well known website who charged for it. I could be cheeky and name the website, but I am not that sort of person. The owner of the website did make a (what I think of as small) donation to the Scout Group of which I am Chairman. The lecturer said she made a donation to the local Air Ambulance. I feel sorry for the people that 'forked out' for something that was freely available from me.

Good luck and best wishes

Wow. Having ideas is so second nature to the way I was raised that I can't even remember the how I started to have them. If I were in your shoes I'd probably have suggested journaling as a way for your student to practice having ideas without the risk of social judgment. Not sure that would have worked, though.

What did YOU say to her?

(BTW, the link provided at the bottom of this post is broken.)

Thanks for blogging, always a pleasure to read your posts, Eileen!

No surprise that Bolivia introduced the resolution, given the vile history of Bechtel and water privatization in Bolivia. Sad surprise that Canada abstained from this vote. The cynic in me wonders which massive multinational corporation compelled our abstention.

Hi Rob,

Here is the ISBN Number: 978-1-921917-00-4

The process is $55

I am now in the 2nd year of the course having had no access to any material other than what I produced myself which was a nightmare time wise to produce.

Hope this helps.

Hi Alan,

I have been trying for the last few months to access this book through IBID Press to no avail. Any more update on this. As we are preparing budgets for next year and I would really like to have a look at it. Cheers.
